DJ Oji and Richard Payton have once again joined forces to collaborate on a very special project. This project was inspired by the jazz standard "Take Five" which was composed by saxophonist Paul Desmond and originally recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. It was also inspired by the vocal interpretation of Take Five performed by the late great Al Jarreau. In the Nu Jazz version of this song, DJ Oji and Richard Payton approached this remake from a modern day broken beat/jazz perspective. The integrity of the original piece was maintained in the production of this which could be considered the "original" version of their collaboration. Those who dare to step outside of the box will be able to appreciate every last bar, beat and instrument in this track.
Richard Payton has made this package complete by providing a four to the floor Club Mix that will definitely resonate with all house heads and groovers.
