CoOp Presents bring you more new music to round off 2023, welcoming the talented Finn Irregular to the fold with this 4-track release, 'Feel Free In Motion'.
Finn Irregular is a London-born, Naarm-based producer and instrumentalist. He draws on an array of influences, incorporating soul, jazz and house into his own sonic palette of meticulously crafted beats, to create a sound that's soulful, synthy and summery.
The first track on this EP, 'Feel Free', is a collaboration featuring vocalist Monique Araujo, and musician Nikodimos. A deep, soulful cut, with a classic house feel, exuding positive vibrations and uplifting liberation. Monique and Nikodimos are both artists that are also prominent in the Naarm (Melbourne) music scene; Nikodimos also previously featured on the CoOp compilation 'They're Energised' on a track with Horatio Luna.
'In Motion' is an instrumental track with an ever-driving rhythm section, carrying over the theme of positivity and movement. Both tracks get the bruk remix treatment from the CoOp crew, with NameBrandSound (aka label bosses IG Culture and Alex Phountzi) taking on 'Feel Free', keeping the vibe light and breezy, while Entek flips 'In Motion' into a spacey heads-down bruk groove.
As the CoOp Presents crew look ahead to 2024 with a slew of tasty releases already lined up, this EP eases us into the Autumnal months like a welcome breath of fresh air.
