LUXXURY kicks off 2024 strong with 'Strangely Familiar', a 130 BPM dance floor destroyer fueled by pummeling 16th note synths and a driving Roland 606 drum machine. Inspired in by equal parts by the original disco masters - especially Giorgio Moroder and his French counterpart Cerrone - plus the whimsy of Todd Terje and the darkwave touches of Detroit synthpop artists Adult. If the song seems strangely familiar, that's because it is a hyper-caffeinated sibling of 2023's 'Perfect Forever', with whom it shares some of its vocal, while from tempo to instrumentation the music is completely reimagined.
