Kiko Navarro enlists the help of his 13 year old son Hugo for classical-tinged Deep House gem 'Una Mattina' (A Morning), issued on his own Afroterraneo label.

A cover version of Ludovico Einaudi's 2004 solo piano piece, 'Una Mattina' found its way to Kiko's ears as his son Hugo practised for a performance of the work at his school Christmas show. The pair entered the studio and Hugo laid down that iconic piano part in his first ever recording session, before Kiko worked his magic with a supple drum groove, warm strings and vocal pads inspired by 10cc's 'I'm Not In Love'.

For the breakdown, Kiko asked AI to write a poem inspired by the words 'Una Mattina', which were then performed by Italian singer Io e Palmieri. The result is a spine-tingling electronic reworking of a much-loved classical gem, destined to summon up its own share of emotional dancefloor reverie.
