Spain's own Affani makes his Motech debut with the aptly titled 'Arabica' EP. Introducing a house sound to an imprint that has, over their decade plus existence, stayed true to Detroit and Techno driven production is no small feat.
'Arabica' mixes a pure house drum progression against a vast, almost cinematic synth arrangement that will inspire both dance floor purists and listeners alike. 'A Journey to the Future' looks to the oft overlooked inspiration of Detroit house, combining more driven, uptempo house percussion with the region's signature complex and building synth patterns.
This EP includes two scorching remixes of 'Arabica' from Glasgow up-and-comer, Boom Merchant, who strips the original track down into a primal' synaptic roadmap, and from label co-founder, DJ 3000 whose treatment adds percussive and rhythmic complexity to the original elements of product
