NRM’s first output of 2015 comes “Take Me Back” from DJ Nic-E out of
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It might be cold up in the great white north but DJ Nic-E will keep
you warm with his soulful and funky original track. For this release we also present the talents of
Tim Rella also a Canadian native, Caboose Records head honcho, and production partner with
Nic-E as Unified Soul. Lastly to round things out, there are three mixes from Natural Rhythm’s
Thomas White and Pete Williams adding their unique reworking’s of the Nic-E original.

Nic-E’s Original hits in all the right places. Funky bass, warm chords, a soulful
vocal and a funky groove you just can’t help but shake your body to. Tim Rella’s Rub is up next
with its classic club sound and infectious synth line. Tim Rella’s Rub is ready to do some damage
on the dance floor. Watch your woofers! Pete’s Submerged Mix is a stripped down & dubby
take on the original. It’s shuffle beats, floating vocals, repetitive organ stabs and a fat bass line
complete the rendition. Thomas’ Deep Howl Mix keeps the original vocal and adds some
deeper, resonant chord tones to create a deeper vibe. To wrap up the release we have Thomas’
Filter Wash mix and boy what a mix. There’s just something about that filtered sound that rides
up and down in the mix that will stick with you for the rest of the night. We hope you enjoy this
