OLIVIER VAN HOLTEN

Olivier grew up with both parents being part time musicians. His father played keys and drums in several amateur bands, jamming almost every weekend with friends for over 10 years. Meanwhile his mother played the clarinet. Although this was only part-time she did play on a professional level.

So naturally Olivier was exposed to a vast palette of different musical influences from a young age. Attending concerts from the likes of Fela kuti and Femi kuti at the age of only 6 and listening to Miles Davis and Glenn Miller at home definitely had an impact on him which is nowadays noticeable in some of his more jazzy and tribal-esque productions.

Today Oliviers style is best described as colourful engaging Music that will often surprise the listeners in a positive way. As long as it has groove and colour anything goes; this really shows in his sets but still Olivier maintains his very own unmistakable musical identity.
