Inspired by his family and the surroundings of Chicago's Latino community of
Humboldt Park and Logan Square, Légo dedicated himself to a career in music at an early age. He started deejaying at the age of 11.
When he was only 19, Légo landed himself a DJ residency at a Chicago nightclub called "Kaboom." Simultaneously, he was throwing underground loft parties at 1352 N. Paulina. This grew his notoriety and fanbase, which led him to land a 20-year residency at Chicago's Legendary
House party, "Boom Boom Room."

Drawing from a wide spectrum of musical tastes as a DJ, Légo began producing his own music. Légo's professional music career
took off in 1997 when Andy Adams of UC Music approached him for a remix of the Ralphi Rosario / Donna Blakely song
"Take Me Up (Gotta Get Up)." Légo's remix hit #4 on the Billboard Dance Charts, selling more singles than Madonna and Celine Dion in the month of April 1998. After that, he claimed two more Billboard Dance hits with his remix prowess.
"Wanna Give It Up", featuring Disco Diva Legend, Linda Clifford, and "Do You Like The Way That It Feels" featuring Donna Blakely and Linda Clifford on vocals.

In 1999, Légo produced the EP "Flava In Ya Ear" Vol. 2 on Afterhours Records,
which included international hits "El Ritmo De Verdad" and "When I'm With You."
They were featured on Légo's mix CD on Afterhours, "Sounds from the Boom Room Room." Both tracks immediately became anthems for the highly influential global party scene of Ibiza, Spain. After hitting #1 on the International Dance Music Charts, Légo was catapulted to global stardom. To this day, "El Ritmo De Verdad" continues to rock dancefloors all over the world. It was also licensed to the French film "Le Cout De La Vie" (2003). In 2011, Légo was approached by Defected Records to license it.

As Légo's following in France grew, he accepted an offer for a monthly residency at Club Le Gibus in Paris.
Prompted by fans there, he released a European-only mix compilation in 2001 entitled "100% House Vibes - Gibus - Le Son Du Club Vol. 2."
Later that year, Bob Sinclar asked Légo to produce an unreleased track for his mix compilation series "The Africanism All Stars."
"Trompeta Alegre" proved to be a great follow-up to "El Ritmo De Verdad" and greatly furthered Légo's career. Légo is a part
of the original Africanism All Stars, which include Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, and
DJ Gregory.

In 2004, he remixed Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love" (on Columbia UK), whose album
won 5 Grammys. This was a great way to showcase his remixing abilities to the world.
Légo's later remix of "El Corillo" by La Tira showed his consistency in making the Latin and Dance Music charts. His remixes of "I Say Golé" by French artist, Hanna Hais, on Atal Music and "Everybody Shake It" by Ralphi Rosario featuring Shawn Christopher on Blueplate Global kept the attention level high on Légo and Poontin Muzik.

Légo's impressive repertoire of remixes includes work for renowned artists like
Paul Johnson, Mr. V, Mark Brickman, Bad Boy Bill, and Johnny Fiasco.
Additionally, his tracks and remixes have found homes on prestigious labels such as Defected, Glitterbox, Nervous, Made in Miami, 4 to the Floor, Spacedisco Records, Black Riot, Moody Recordings, S&S Records, Open Bar Music, 83 West, Haiti,
Grouper Recordings, and Section Eight Recordings.

Following the revival of his label, Poontin Muzik, there has been a notable surge in demand for his DJ sets and musical production. Recognized as one of the premier figures in today's House Music scene, Légo continues to journey worldwide, captivating audiences with his performances and musical production.
