JOHN PAUL LAKES

John Paul Lakes is an electronic music producer and artist. His latest song "The Holidays" Remix with Lee Wilson on Check It Out records is rising the charts on Traxsoruce. He is also part of the electronic music duo Most Dangerous City.

John Paul, or JP for short, is from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. At an early age he got a small Casio keyboard from his mom for his birthday and started getting into music. His father was also a musician and synth enthusiast so he always had something around the house to play with whether it was a drum machine or a 4 track recorder.

He later went on to study Music Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After his studies JP started working with artists mainly in the latin urban genre and made a name for himself as a reggaeton producer known as Dashitai. He also worked with the reggae pop band Montuca Sound System produced songs such as Welcome to San Pedro and Vamos Para La Playa went on to become local hits.

Years later JP decided to get into electronic music production and started producing music under his own name John Paul Lakes. He reconnected with his friend Lee Wilson from Berklee and started working together. Currently their song Summertime made it to the Friday Cratediggers, Dance Rising and the Happy Beats playlist on Spotify. The spanish version is coming out December 3rd.

John Paul Lakes is currently working on new productions for 2021 with his band Most Dangerous City as well as other collaborations with artist Lee Wilson and others.
